11. What does enforcement of Judgment mean?

A Judgment creditor can seek the court's help in enforcing a Judgment by filing a debt collection lawsuit. The debt has already been proven, and the creditor must allege and support that the debtor has failed to repay the debt. Therefore, the Judgment can be enforced by holding the noncomplying party in contempt of court. The court may order the judgment debtor's property and assets be garnished to satisfy the debt. This measure involves the appointment of a receiver by the court over, for example, proceeds of the sale of an asset by the debtor with a view to the satisfaction of the debt. A judgment not only puts debtor's property and assets at risk, it also tarnishes debtor's good credit rating.

Judgments are legal decisions made to settle court cases. They are the official decision of a court, and they provide the final resolution between parties to a lawsuit. It is important to recall that the conduct of any State organ is considered to be an act of that State.
